Lava seawater is not simply another name for seawater. It is Jeju seawater that passes through volcanic rock layers and enters the ground inland.
Our source review and research material from Jeju National University both identify seawater, volcanic rock layers, passage through those layers, and an underground setting.

Lava seawater contains minerals and mineral salts. Among the constituents we have confirmed are zinc (Zn), vanadium (V), iron (Fe), selenium (Se) and germanium (Ge).
TESTING
Bacteria and coliforms and heavy metals were tested on the salt itself; microplastics on the lava seawater we start from. We hold the reports for all three.

A food-licensed facility managed by Jeju Province
We draw source lava seawater at a food-licensed facility managed by Jeju Province.
We remove water from the source water to produce a concentrated solution.
We finely spray the concentrate and evaporate its water at a specified temperature to form crystals.
We dry the crystallized salt for 24 hours.
We select only the items that meet our own criteria.
We fill containers and package the salt after metal-detector inspection.
We take this water as our raw material and turn it into 눈결소금 through those six steps.
PRODUCTS
The ingredient statement for both sizes lists 100% Jeju lava seawater. The label information for both sizes is below.
The label identifies the food type as other salt and the net quantity as 200 g. It lists a Dol Hareubang-shaped PET container, paper and PE inner packaging, and PP outer packaging. The storage instruction says to avoid humid places and keep the product sealed after opening.
